The Rollei Zeiss 50mm 1.4 HFT was coated with Rollei's own coating technology.
It is more contrast and warmer than the *T version found on the Contax body.
All the HFT version were made in Germany.
In my opinion, it is one of the sharpest 50mm lens I've ever used on 35mm format. I
don't have the Leica 50mm 2.0 to compare.
Indeed it out sharpes the Canon plus it retains more shades of color than the Canon.
